Mount Sinai Establishes Eye and Vision Research Institute to Pursue Clinical Research

NEW YORK—The Mount Sinai Health System earlier this week announced plans to develop the Mount Sinai/New York Eye and Ear (NYEE) Eye and Vision Research Institute, a facility that the health system said would be “the first of its kind in the New York City metropolitan region.” It also will expand Mount Sinai’s eye and vision research portfolio, according to the announcement. USC’s Roski Eye Institute to Launch Certified Ophthalmic Education Program

LOS ANGELES—The University of Southern California (USC) Roski Eye Institute will offer the first educational program in California, one of only 14 programs nationwide, to train certified ophthalmic technicians with its Ophthalmic Technician Education Program (OTEP) beginning January, 2017.
